Some people challenge the need for a coach. They believe ‘I can learn this from a book and apply it myself’ or ‘But I can see that stuff on you tube, I can learn it there.’
Sadly it doesn’t often work and here’s why:
No amount of information will change this simple fact-in order to succeed or improve in any area of your life, you need to actually DO something.
There isn’t anything wrong with advice. But unless you’re actually using it to do something it doesn’t count as anything more than entertainment, a warm bath. A lot of people know what they SHOULD be doing, that doesn’t mean they are actually DOING it....
How many Olympic athletes do you see buried in a book between their events? They’re not. They are listening to their coach.
If you wanted to win an Olympic title in say, weightlifting, you can read the encyclopaedia of weightlifting (which actually exists and is comprehensive!) or you can train with a top Olympic coach.
Now tell me, which do you think is going to get you onto that Olympic platform first and ready?
